More Family Fun

Well I didn't take very many pictures while they were here..or when my in laws where here, that's what happens when you are super busy trying to move in I guess.  While my sisters where here T, Mark and my Dad went to the midnight showing of the Dark Knight.  We all went to these awesome cliffs to jump off and up the way was a little "beach".  The kids loved that, the big kids that is they started out on the lower rocks but quickly moved up to the tallest ones!  Seriously this place is so pretty and it's only like a 15 min drive from my house!

The last day my number 2 mom was here we realized we hadn't taken like any photos so we snuck this one in!

I had my dad busy doing all kinds of little projects like he set up and mounted the surround sound in the basement family room, fixed a few doors that where sticking, alight that wasn't working, just all kinds of odds and ends.  Then Mel and I painted the girls room, painted the up stairs living room, made a bunch of decorating crap, hung crap up, hung up some hooks on the bathroom doors, made a headboard seriously we were crazy!  But the end result was so nice to have a few things finished up.

How many people fit into a playhouse...

Depends on the day I guess!  Right after my in laws left my dad and his fam came out!  It was so awesome because I haven't seen them in sooo long! Plus while Pat was here I got a few sewing projects done and now onto some more projects with Melanie. My kids loved having their aunts here with them.  The girls did such a great job at playing with the little ones it was so nice to have the extra help!

The 4th of July

Ok, so when we bought our house we closed like almost two months before we moved in.  When we came to close we stayed the weekend while my mom had the kiddos(thanks mom) and we worked on the house.  Mainly the backyard because it was full I mean full of trees...like that swing set would have had no place to go if we hadn't cleared it out.  So while we were here working hard our new neighbor came over and brought us food and water throughout the day! Best neighbor ever.  So then we moved in he was like hey for the fourth you shld come over I got a ton of fireworks that the kids can play with.  He even got the big stuff there was on in the shape of a heart and one in the shape of a palm tree!  IT was awesome, especially bc the city ones got cancelled due to high winds...we started earlier than them so our winds weren't bad. It was so great watching them from the neighbors driveway!

It was sooo much fun!

The Swing Set

As soon as we moved in I had my in laws drive out here...to make this!  Well they offered really, the kids had been so excited to move so that "Pi" would come build them a swing set!  This thing rocks.  The tree house is tall enough for me to stand in and it fits a lot of kids up there safely.  They are always taking their blankets and stuff out there and just hanging out.  They also love to eat lunch out there!  Because the swing set was built so high (on purpose) the swings go so high up and the kids LOVE IT.  They are my little daredevils!  I am soooo thankful that after all my in laws had just done for the family they were still able to make it out and make this amazing swing set for us!  Oh and my father in law didn't use like a premade set or building plans, come on now how awesome is that!

John Deere Pavilion

After Sara's graduation my family and I went to the John Deere Pavilion  that was across the street!  It was awesome.  They had all kinds of different tractors that you could get in and the description of what each on did!  I mean I am grown from Iowa so I guess that maybe has something to do with why I like tractors so much. Of course only John Deere though, I have to support my roots.  Mark had a great time!  His Grandpa was a farmer and this kind of stuff brings back childhood memories for him and he loves it.  I just ran around like a crazy person trying to keep track of my kids.

At the end Brecken said "So when are we gonna get a tractor!"  I love it!
